Hey guys Jesse from Brothers N Arms and what a few weeks it's been! I went to see Evans Blue in Austin at the Beauty Ballroom and it was a killer concert! I've wanted to see these guys live for some time and even got to meet the guys after their set.

There were a few openers on this bill from San Antonio, Tx like: Secret Secure (reminds me of TrustCompany), Nothing More (reminds me of Fair To Midland) a MUST see band live, and State Your Cause (lead singer looks like Brett Scallions of Fuel).

I then headed to Houston at the Verizon Wireless Theater to see George Lopez's standup. There was a 70s cover band as I walked in to the theater and what really shocked me was there was this grandma (had to be in her 60s) just shredding on her guitar! His opening act was pretty funny and George Lopez was hilarious as usual!

I also picked up the new 10 Years album Minus The Machine and man is it good. These guys are coming to College Station with Red Jump Suit Apparatus on October 2nd and I will be going to see them for the 3rd time this year.

My band is also in a competition to get mainstream radio airplay on 99x The Rock Station in Louisiana so feel free to vote for us this week once a day, voting ends Saturday night!
