This interesting yet smooth Indie band formed by singer/songwriter/guitarist Chris Henderson reminds me of the first time I ever drank a cold beer! Cold, smooth and refreshing and addictive! The bands writing is so good I don't mind that it sounds familiar since the bands the best at what they do.
I really liked the video and Loved the mystic theme. It had everything an Indie video needs! A limo driver, cosmic clowns and various shots over a city. I was pleasantly surprised by the bands talent. I felt the instrumental parts of the song were some of the best I've heard.
The singers voice a smooth Irish beer! I couldn't get enough of the silky tones Mr. Henderson provided in the creepy but stand out song no more wonder. I tried to place some sorta category to it and came up with a mix of pop to top. Yeah it's indie, sure it's rock, maybe it's pop but it's got the It factor that any good song must have.
Hats off to the band who's song should be nationwide yet I've never heard of them. The bands name came from a radio that Henderson grew up listening to in his fathers studio in Maine.
Producer, Doug Derryberry (Bruce Hornsby, Ben Folds Five) discovered the band Bronze Radio Return at a NYC show. Producing their first self-titled EP in 2008. In 2009 the Northeastern band’s collaboration with Midwestern producer/multi-instrumentalist Chad Copelin brought them to a Southern studio in Nashville resulting in the creation of a ten-song album Old-Time Speaker which catapulted the bands into many future notable events.
The album also charted in the College Music Journal (CMJ) Top 200 peaking at #102 charted in the top 10 and even reached #1 for weeks on several stations which created a big buzz on the east coast.
Bronze Radio Return has also had their song "Shake,Shake,Shake" used in an American Idol episode after Reed Grimm made it into the semi-finals giving the band international acclaim as songwriters.
Touring the entire East Coast and Midwest, Bronze Radio Return has performed at several music festivals making appearances at The Rock Boat XII, SXSW, Mountain Jam, Gathering of the Vibes, Summer fest and Musikfest to name a few.
Acts Bronze Radio Return have opened for such acts as Grace Potter, John Mayer, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Pete Francis (of Dispatch), Blues Traveler, Buddy Guy, Dennis DeYoung, Nikka Costa, Sugar Ray, Ed Kowalczyk of the band live!
At the height of the bands accent They even performed for President Obama last October 2010 at a rally in Bridgeport, CT cementing the bands position as a powerhouse band for years and maybe even decades to come. The best always find a way to make it to the top and Bronze radio return is no exception and is at the top of their game!
